Animal Protection Institute - A national non-profit animal advocacy organization working to end animal cruelty and exploitation through legislation, litigation, and public education.

ASPCA - The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals exists to promote humane principles, prevent cruelty, and alleviate fear, pain, and suffering in animals.

Farm Sanctuary - A national, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and protecting farm animals. It also campaigns to end abusive animal agricultural practices.

Lifesavers, Inc. - Wild Horse Rescue Dedicated to saving abandoned, abused, neglected, and slaughter-bound mustangs.

National Humane Education Society - Provides humane education, rescue and relief assistance for animals, as well screened adoption services.

Animal Rights Organizations

Animal Legal Defense Fund - Since 1979, the Animal Legal Defense Fund has been leading the fight to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.

Animal Rights Foundation of Florida (ARFF) - A non-profit organization of over 4,000 membrs devoted to promoting respect and compassion for non-human animals. (Ft. Lauderdale)

Florida Voices for Animals - An all-volunteer, non-profit education organization dedicated to informing the public about the wonderful benefits of veganism and also about the abuses that animals endure via factory farming, entertainment, rodeo, fur industry, experimentation, military, clothing industry, neglect, criminal and sadistic tendencies.

In Defense of Animals - Working to protect the rights, welfare, and habitats of animals.

Last Chance for Animals (LCA) -Dedicated to eliminating animal exploitation through education, investigations, legislation, and media attention. The organization believes that animals are highly sentient creatures who exist for their own reasons independent of their service to humans; they should thus not be made to suffer for the latter. LCA therefore opposes the use of animals in food and clothing production, scientific experimentation, and entertainment. Instead it promotes a cruelty-free lifestyle and the ascription of rights to non-human beings.

NAVS (National Anti-Vivisection Society) - Animal advocates for humane science. The organization works to stop the use of animals in product testing, biomedical research, and classroom education.

PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) - A nonprofit organization founded in 1985 that promotes preventive medicine, conducts clinical research, and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research.

Sarasota In Defense of Animals (SDA) - To defend the rights of animals, promote animal welfare and habitat preservation; to provide lifetime sanctuary care to animals abandoned, sick, and the victims of cruelty with no selling, no trading, no breeding, and no killing.
